How do i enable online chat in X-fire

I installed X-fire with the game. But, I can't chat online? How do I turn chat on for myself?

And, I'm playing as Sharpshooter FYI.

Hello!

I play Battle Front II online, but I can't chat. I have X-fire installed. Registered. But I can't chat. When I log in from the Icon on my desktop. It automatically goes to the automatic update. But it can't connect. And never starts.

Please help! Also, I would appreciate it if I got a direct reply and not a link.

I guess you are using the version that comes with the game? Don't use that, it doesn't work. Download the one from xfire.com instead.
