Hi
i just wanted to boot from my USB Stick on Windows 7 Notebook.
on the USB Stick is Ubuntu. FAT32 system. it workes on XP.
while starting Win7 i pressed "ESC". i selected "boot device options" or something like this.
i found the USB-Stick selected and than i get an error:
"Medienfehler: Neustart Tastedrücken"
When i press any Key the system starts from Device Windows 7 and not my Ubuntu from USB.
how can i fix that

Re: Win 7 USB Boot
You can boot from a CD, which is a little better that using a jumpdrive because some older or non-advanced systems sometimes dont support booting from a jumpdrive. I've done this once, installing Ubuntu 10.10 to a new(old) pc i got from a friend.
Also, make sure you use the .ISO file's install for the cd/jumpdrive or it wont boot (it copyies the .iso file to the item so it can boot). All you do is open the .ISO file and select the drive/cd drive its installing to.
