Password hack

So i don't know if i'm allowed to post questions like this.

untill no moderator or admin said their is no matter i won't post links etc.

so my problem is that i forgott an password on Win 7. i found an program running from USB and tell me the word. I test it on XP but i don't know if this will work on 7 too. if not there are files (addons/patches) i need.

passwords in win xp and 7 are stored differently, while win xps has a really weak protection , vistas and win 7s have a much better one, a password extractor for xp will definitelly not work on win 7, im not sure if it is possible to extract one in win 7. if you dont find a way to do it and you have important files on the hdd, download a recovery toolset like erdcommander that can run from your stick and launches a small operation system. with it you can save the important files on an external drive if you have no other option than formating your hdd.

I don't think it's a good idea to talk about this here. You may mean well, but hacking passwords is dangerous business.
