Ok, I know this is a common problem, and I was hopeing that you guys could hope. I was a modder a couple of months back, but My compuot broke. On the new computor, I have got the mod tools, but hen I try to run Zero Edit in my map data, then I get the:
zeroeditor.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Well..... sorry is not good enouth, I need Zero Edit to make my Iradonia map, and nothing I have tried seems to work...
So in short, Why is Zero edit not working, and can something be done about it?
It is on a Windows Xp, and does have 32 bit graphics... Any help? Please?!

Did you actually TRY any of the stuff in that thread? Because it does sound eerily similar to some of the Vista/Win7 problems. And some of those fixes can still be implemented in XP...

I tried:
Running ZE with 3D-Analyze (FAQ)
Run in 32 colour bit
Run as admin
.NET Framework Version 1.1
In short, yes, I did.
I wondered if failure to work was because of the fact mine is a XP, when the thread is talking about Vistas?

if you dont know how to find that, you shouldn't be modding..
there are Three ways to find it.
One. If you Memory amount is 4GB higher, its 64bit
Two. Right Click My Computer, click properties.
Three.

I am having the exact same problem. My test map works fine, but if I try to open the map I'm working on it crashes.

It has 1014 RAM,
WHich is not 4 giga Bytes I beleve. So it must be a 32 bit.

Try
THIS. For me I deleted all of the barrier entries in the barrier .bar file because I didn't know which one was at fault, after trying several, and it WORKED!
(I planned on redoing barriers and planning anyway.)

offtopic info: 1024 bytes = 1 KiloByte, 1024 KiloBytes = 1 MegaByte, 1024 MegaBytes = 1 GigaByte, 1024 GigaBytes = 1 TeraByte
1024 (MB) RAM are therefore 1 GB
