Ipod songs not playing on my 360

I recently hooked up my Ipod to my 360 and for most of my songs it wont allow me to play them. I keep on getting an error when I try to listen to 'em. I've come to the conclusion that there's a copyrght issue with iTunes because for the songs that I get an error are the ones I bought with iTunes so that's the only reason I can come up with.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and knows how to get around it?

Note
The Xbox 360 console can only play AAC files that are not protected by DRM (digital rights management). Protected AAC files will appear grayed out on the Xbox Dashboard.
This your problem?

iTunes and iDevice native format is also .m4a by default, which is only readable by iDevices and iTunes.

Oh yeah.....
So I guess you're gonna have to open up iTunes, right click on whatever songs won't work, then click "Create AAC Version" on the drop-down menu and pray that works?

I'm pretty sure that doesn't work, Ive tested it for myself now and if you do want to play songs that you bought on iTunes your going to need to either convert the file (Not completely sure if this works yet, because I currently lack a working Xbox 360) or find a way to remove the Protection on the file, which I will not be telling you how to do for legal reasons.
