Nothing hurts my head more than using google and not knowing what you are looking for. Well, hopefully y'all can help. I am planning on laying landscape brick and I want to randomize the color layout. My problem is I have a structured brain and my random consists of lot of patterns, well beyond my thought pattern. So I'm looking for a program that will do this for me so it looks as close to like how the bricks are laid out on my house. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm going out of my mind.
Specs:
input the colors, three to four colors
a grid like display showing the color output
input on the size, like 5x70

This probably isn't the best idea, but you could just make a 5x70 picture in paint, close your eyes, and click away with the dump bucket. There are sooo many things that could go wrong there, but if you do it right, you could end up with something randomShadowHawk wrote:Nothing hurts my head more than using google and not knowing what you are looking for. What's wrong with patterns? Personally almost every brick structure I've seen is randomly placed, and it gets a little old. A creative design would probably look cool. What part of your house is this for?

Well my "patterns" always turn out to be messy clumps because I'm not very creative. my avy? took 5 revisions and a year for each revision to get what I finally felt happy with. Still not a 100% though so another revision next year will probably happen. The only thing that was creative and cool and worked the first time was my Cthulhu Claus Christmas avy and I was shocked. With landscape bricks you only have one chance to get it the way you want and I'm guaranteed to make it look sloppy. I'll be doing well at first, then towards the end get sloppy because I'm in a hurry, bored, went back several times to correct something, or a combination of the three. So frustration at the end is guaranteed and I'll just say screw it and keep it messed up or tear it down completely if I didn't have something to go by. What makes it worst, I have to get a Home Owner's Association approval before starting, so I need to have a drawing of what it may look like. If they don't like it, it don't go up, and if I don't like it, it goes nowhere. I do have Photoshop though, so is there a plugin, companion, or setting I can use to do this?

Well short of giving some kids a bunch of blocks and letting them have at it, or some crayons of the colors you are going to be using and have them draw it up this site may be of some help.
