BF2142 Update Error [Solved]

I had to reinstall BF2142 today since something went wrong with it and now when I try to update it to the 1.05 patch I keep getting an error saying that I have a newer version already installed. Please help!

I thought 1.5 came out a while ago that was a full install. Would that work?

The game runs fine its just whenever I'm trying to update it it says that there's a newer version already installed and I can't install DirectX.

Well, the problem isn't actually with the game its with the patch. I had to uninstall the game due to an error and now when I try to update it to the 1.5 patch, it says I already have a newer version already installed. Does anyone know how I might manually uninstall the patch??

I wouldn't touch the registry unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing.

Try a registry cleaner, those programs are great. I use "advanced systemcare" from "Iobit", it's a high-quality free program.
off topic:
You should definetely check out a program "Gamebooster" from the same developers.

I assume you would have to install it, scan for registry issues, and then remove whatever issues were found. Of course the program would do it for you. You would just have to follow on-screen instructions and make decisions.

That programm is very self-explanatory. Just run all the scans and then run all the fixes. Just try it out for yourself.

Which version do you use? My free version works just fine, the only mention I get of the paid version is a small notice at startup.

Well, I contacted their Support team and they said to install one of the earlier patches (1.4) and then update it to 1.5 but the problem with that is after I download 1.4 and try to start it, the program wont load. It'll load for a few seconds but nothing comes up and I've tried downloading it a few times now.
