Hi,

For some reason I can't post a PotD. I put in a desc, I put in the filename, the pic size is fine, but when I submit it, it turns to a white screen and says "Unable to add POTD to Database".

Whats going on?

Did you check to make sure its a valid JPG / JPEG file? The resolution must also be above 400x300, it'll automatically resize to a smaller resolution if it exceeds the maximum resolution but you must have it at least 400x300. You can try it again and if your still receiving this error then I can pass it on to the NA's unless others can add PotD's, than we know its a problem with you specifically.

I'm having the same problem as well. And yes, the pics are .jpg.

I just said the pic size is fine, and yes, it is a JPG. I just now tried it again, still didnt work.

I thought you meant the file size (95 KB) instead of the resolution size. The file size needs to be at most 400 KB but I'm pretty sure it is too, just thought I'd make sure first. Either way, I'll ask about it and let you know what's happening.

EDIT: Okay, check and make sure you do not have any quote marks (e.g. ' ) in the caption then let me know if it works.

Yes I did, but nothing helped.

You must have the infamous "PoTD Virus" that's been going around Filefront. You should stay off of your computer for the next couple of days, it can't work if it's inactive and eventually it will move to a new host. Not much is known about the "PoTD Virus" other than the fact that it randomly targets people on Filefront. Depending on how long you've had this problem, the intensity could vary.

EDIT: I looked at the time of your post, and you should turn off your computer now, or you might as well kiss it goodbye. Good luck.

Dang, well I can't really stay off it or shut it down for a couple days cuz I have some school to get done on it and other people will need to use it. I'll try to upload the pic on another comp.

That should suffice. Just stay away from the computer for a couple days and everything should revert itself to normal. A couple days being 3 minimum.

Nova, there's no "POTD virus", you don't have to turn your computer off or anything else, the only virus is Grev playing jokes on you.
