Monitor Stuck in Power Saving Mode [Solved]

Post by Nova Hawk »

Hey, so I was using my PC yesterday and all of a sudden the screen went totally black and now it's stuck in power saving mode and I haven't been able to use it since.

Any solutions to this problem would be great!

Power Saving Mode, eh? Try hitting any key on your keyboard or moving your mouse. If that doesn't work, hold down the power button until your computer turns off completely and then start it up again.

but wait ten minutes before turning it back on. Then after the first screen (most the time blue) hit F8 on your key board. This will give you a start up command screen. use you arrow keys to move the highlighter to Save Mode. click ender. the computer will load some drivers, the screen may have the lowest resolution, that because its using minimum drivers. wait for a few minutes, restart you computer.

Save Mode is a debugging mod for windows. If there is a problem it may find it.

I have tried turning it off and back on multiple times and it's still stuck in power saving mode. Nothing seems to work, I've tried pressing keys and moving the mouse, but to no avail.

Yes, I've tried taking my computer out and adjusting the plug that the monitor connects to the computer and still nothing.

this is odd. Try to plug the monitor in another PC. if it works it the computer, if not, its the monitor.

Well, that's easier said then done.

EDIT:
Alright, I got everything working. My dad unplugged everything from the computer and now it's working so I guess this can be locked.
