Problems with Amazon.com
Never made a topic in this forum - sorry if this breaks the rules.
Can't figure this out, so I'm coming to Gametoast for help.
Whenver I go to Amazon.com, it crashes my Internet Browser.
I have Internet Explorer 7, Vista, AVG Antivirus software.
Any advice?

Yeah, ditch IE7 and go to Firefox, its waaay faster, and I don't encounter any crashing from amazon.Fierfek wrote:Never made a topic in this forum - sorry if this breaks the rules.

Or IE8, if Firefox isn't your cup o' joe, since it is the successor to IE7. It's kind of like using Vista when Windows 7 is out (which reminds me, I need to switch mine over to the final one of these days).

IE8 destroyed my desktop, and affected the entire pc. Although they probably fixed it since that release, I still dislike the IE series strongly for many reasons such as this.

Actually, Safari is the fastest. Don't believe me? Google it! But even if you are one of those who hates macs, Safari is what I use and is the fastest I've tried. (And the best part is that it has spell check here on Gametoast!) ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

IE7 or 8 works fine for me on Amazon.com, it must be something else. Is Amazon.com the only site that crashes your browser?Fierfek wrote:Whenver I go to Amazon.com, it crashes my Internet Browser.

Oh, and get a better antivirus than AVG. It's junk. It either misses detection of a virus, or falsely detects something as one.

It's all personal preference really, but I like the combination of Symantec AntiVirus and Threatfire.

Eugh. Not that. It repeatedly scanned my PC when I told it not to, and when you press pause or stop nothing happens...Teancum wrote:...Symantec AntiVirus...
That feature is also in Google Chrome.General_Nate wrote:(And the best part is that it has spell check here on Gametoast!)

Actually, maybe you should try Chrome...
