Okay here's my problem: I was making an audio disk with itunes and I had a blank CD in my drive (Some kind of Pioneer I can try to figure out what kind it is if you need that information) and my computer froze completely I couldn't even move the mouse or anything like that. So I did an emergency shut down, rebooted and found that my disk drive wasn't reading anything I put in it. It still opens and has power, but it won't read anything I put in it.
My computer is a little old but was the best in it's time with very nice specs. I don't see how computer specs would help so if you need them in solving this delema please just ask.
Note: I have a tri-OS boot-up with Ubuntu Linux, Windows Vista and XP.
