Safetly Removing Hardware question

Yknow how you're supposed to use the Safely Remove Hardware button when you want to take a piece of hardware out of your hard drive? Yeah, I do that. And yknow what happens to me when I use that button? The F:, G:, etc. drives get removed from the My Computer window. Lately I've been doing a lot of moving my SD card from my computer to my Wii, and everytime I wanna take the SD card out, I have to do the remove hardware thing, yet if I want to put my SD card back in the computer once I've already taken it out once, I have to restart my computer to make the F: drive appear on My Computer again. So, my question is: how do I get things to where I can make the F: drive appear again after I Safely Remove Hardware without restarting my computer?

The Safely Remove Hardware is one of those ignorance checks that Microsoft throws into its software. As long as information is not being transferred between your computer hardware and the removable hardware, you can remove it without going through the Safely Remove Hardware.
