Basically, a search will bring up plenty of people asking whether or not this is legal. What I figure is that it's like going five miles per hour over the speed limit: the officers won't pull you over, but it's still breaking the law. Let your own moral compass decide if you're going to break the law or not by using it, since you won't get in trouble if you do.
