Can a laptop WLAN card work in a desktop computer? I did a search on Google with no useful results found. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can get a laptop wireless card working on a desktop computer but why not just use a desktop computer wireless card?

Well I have this busted laptop. I took it apart and found the card. The wireless card is still in good condition and not damaged at all. I'm just wondering whether it will work in a desktop computer. If it did, I might as well use it. If it didn't, I would sell it. I'm trying to save money. Thanks for your help, delta. I just need an exact answer so I don't have to go through the hassle of installing the card and then finding out it doesn't work. :)

By "card" do you mean a PCMCIA card?

If so, you can probably get a USB PCMCIA card reader. But it might be cheaper just to get a new wireless card for your desktop.

No, not that kind of a card. It's an internal kind. More like this:
