Issues with SLI (Advice Appreciated)

Post by Ipodzanyman »

I now have computer running SLI with:

-Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.0 Ghz (overclocked)
-2x EVGA Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTs (512 mb) non overclocked (yet :P )
-550 Watt PSU
-2 GB Corsair RAM
-XFX nForce 680i LT SLI mobo

I bought the extra 8800 GT to finish my rig and start using SLI, but I have a few issues that I need some advice for...

-Originally I was getting about and average of 100-130 Fps for Cod4, now I'm getting 120-150 Fps, but the mouse seems to lag (almost as if the cpu and gpus are not in sync, and yes I checked for the /r_gpusync command line)

-Having similar issues with other games, tried using different rendering methods, but nothing seems to change the problems....

-I've been doing some research and now believe I might be "bottlenecking" the power of the gpus keeping the resoulution running at 1280x1024, would this be a correct evaluation of my problems.

- I appreciate any suggestions!

thanks in advance
