Antivirus software

Post by jedikiller32 »

I've looked for a topic like this, but there doesn't appear to be one...

anyway, I'm looking for a good free antivirus software. I've tried Avast, and I liked it, but I wanted to know if people thought another one was better.

I don't scan my comp much, so a combination of stuff might work best :P

Avast is fine, and AVG is about as good. It's really slow though. Personally, I invest $50/year in ZoneAlarm, but Avast and/or AVG are probably your best bets for free antivirus. I'd stay away from multiple antivirus programs unless you have a fast computer though; they really slow it down.

Yeah what tieguy said. I personally have Kaspersky (not free) which works perfect. It costs some money but hey it's important to have a good virusscanner that doesn't drastically slow down your pc.

I use AVG, it is definitely one of the best virus software I have owned.

Oh god, AVG is really slow. Especially the updating of it.
