I want a new video Card, and I'm trying to decide what to get. Maybe some of Y'all can help me:
What I have:
nVidia GeForce 6800 256MB
I was hoping to go into the nVidia 7 series. Basically, an upgrade, but nothing too drastic, since I'll have to pay for it myself. ( I was thinking less than $200)
I was thinking of the 7600GS (512MB), but I was wondering If you guys had any other ideas.
Thanks

if it becomes corrupt, you can jst redownload (this has happened to me far 2 many times . . .)

Well, he did wanted a 7 series. I have a 7300LE, suits me. The 7600 is a good one to choose if you look at it's price and its quality. Also I recommend to get a GT version, not a LE, GS or something like that.

But an 8400 for $40 is still pretty good.. That's as low a price as you can get for a modern video card of any quality, and this is a really high quality.

I talked with a member of my family who's in the computer business about a Card, and I just ordered an nVidia GeForce 7950.
My search is hereby over.
Thanks everyone!

Nice card, I noticed the 8400 is way less expensive then the 7950, how's that possible?! Sure the 7950 is better but still.

TigerDirect underprices certain things to get you to buy them. The 8400 was the one that they decided to underprice at the moment.

Which one is better then, the 7950 of €250,- or the 8400 of €50,-? Seems a bit weird.

check the specs listed. I'm thinking the 7950 goes faster. the 8400 is more like HD playback and light gaming w/ DX10, while the 7950 is more gaming, but no DX10
