Activity Reports about Strangers on Xfire
For some reason in my "Activity Report" window of the Xfire program, I'm receiving information about people who aren't even on my Xfire friends list. I've noticed that in every new report that comes up all of the information it displays would have something in common. Like right now, it's all about some random Xfire member I don't even know. And before that, it was all about people who happen to be playing the same game. Sometimes, it would display information about people who were friends with each other. But as you can see, the reports themselves aren't related. Is anyone else experiencing this?

When did this start happening to you? Also, did you try contacting Xfire?

Don't really use Xfire anymore, but do you have the sample friend on your friends list? I know I still do and sometimes I would get messages from and updates on some of the friends of that friend.

It's definitely a glitch on Xfire's part. I had it too but I didn't think much of it until I saw this thread. You could contact the support or try adding one of the Xfire developers, since the forums are down.

@Cerfon: Just about three days ago. I tried going on their forums, but, as fasty mentioned, it's currently down.
@Fusion: Yeah, I still have the sample friend. I'll try to remove it if I can.
@fasty: Alright, I'll try that.
Thanks for your responses, guys.

Is it just me, or do none of the images on Xfire.com work?

Doesn't seem any images or videos work. Or Kinetos and I are just having an odd telepathic moment where we see the same thing.
Former is slightly more likely.

Off-topic, much? That issue is resolved now, and it took less than 24 hours.
On-topic: I think I'll just live with this glitch. It's somewhat interesting reading these random statistics about the gaming lives of folks. Whoa, some guy called Impe has played games for 4000 hours, and 3000 hours of it was spent playing World of Warcraft.

It was an Xfire website glitch, so I didn't figure it was too offtopic, and I still can't see any of the images.AQT wrote:Off-topic, much? That issue is resolved now, and it took less than 24 hours.

Re: Activity Reports about Strangers on Xfire
Videos and images both work fine in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, at least for me. Please excuse me for the conclusion I formulated based on insufficient evidence. I suppose this error did not even occur for me in the first place. Perhaps some people are only getting unwanted activity reports, whereas others are only getting invisible images, as if it were some kind of trade-off. Whatever is going on, let's hope we are able to get to the bottom of it. And I recant my previous statement; these activity reports are getting under my skin.
EDIT: The activity report problem has gone away for me, at least for now. It went away on its own, and I'm not sure how it happened.
