Hi.
First of all, sorry for my English. And i think this post is in the correct section, if i'm wrong, please move this post to the correct section.
I bought Crysis 2 for pc. I installed the game, but when i enter in the game and i play new campaing, all of the screen is in black, but the sounds is running. Now, i make Alt+Tab, enter again in the game, the game shows in 3 seconds, when the 3 seconds finished, screen in black again.
I don't know why is this.
My pc:
Graphic card: Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT
Processor: Intel Core Duo 2.66GHz
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bits
I have a friend which have the game, and he have a Nvidia 7500 and is running the game in his computer...
I have installed DirectX 9.0c.
What is the problem? How can i resolve it?

Re: Crysis 2 Graphic Problem
1) There are reports on the internet that it's only an issue with the pirated version of the game, but we'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
2) Make sure your Nvidia drivers are updated.
3) Optionally, try installing DirectX11
4) If the issue persists, the only "working" solution so far is to heighten the voltage of your GPU or downclock your GPU clock speed to stock or lower (I put "working" in quotes, because it only appears to work some of the time, and could potentially damage your PC if not done properly). It's a problem with the Crysis 2 1.9 patch, so if you don't want to mess with your hardware, you're gonna have to wait for a new Nvidia driver or a new Crysis 2 patch to fix it.

Re: Crysis 2 Graphic Problem
I don't have a pirate version, i bought it in GAME, a videogames shop.
My Nvidia is updated.
I have installed DirectX, but it doesen't work... I installed the last version of DirectX.
Before of this, i installed the version 1.9, but the game didn't start, and appears a small windows which says "Crysis2.exe has stopped working". After, i installed the game, but no the 1.9 version, and is this.
I think is problem of the OS, because my friend has Windows 7 Professional and the game is working.

Re: Crysis 2 Graphic Problem
That's your problem, Crysis 2 requires a GeForce 8800GT at minimum. I don't know how your friend is running it on a 7500, other than he just got REALLY lucky. Luckily for you, 8800GT's are cheap nowadays, they are anywhere from $25-$50 on ebay.AhsokaTano wrote:Graphic card: Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT

Re: Crysis 2 Graphic Problem
Oh, then, I need a other graphic card. Perhaps, I will buy it.
I tried installing the 1.2 update, but nothing.
I don't understand why my friend's computer can run the game and my computer can't.
I will try install the game in a computer with Windows XP, i think is problem of the OS. If doesn't work in XP... I will buy a new graphic card.
Thanks for all.
