Hey guys!
I have a new (well, relatively new) desktop which is made by Acer. i am running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Just about two days ago, my internet all of the sudden just flopped on me. It wouldn't connect to my extender, my grandfathers router, or any internet connection really. I've tried and ethernet cable, and it still didn't work. I have already concluded that there is something wrong with the computer, but I'm still not sure what.
I have tried to set a static ip address before this error happened, but I had reset it immediately afterwards because I was trying to open a port with an adapter. This was all before the internet threw a fit.
What happens now is that when I try to connect to the internet, the internet bar on the Tool-bar gets the warning sign on it (the yellow triangle with a black exclamation point in it) and it refuses to connect to the internet.
I'll post the results from the 'ipconfig /all' from the cmd.exe later. But I'll summarize what's happening;
I have a desktop, with Windows 7. The internet connection on it hasn't worked for a few days on it. I know it's the desktop because all the other computers I have can connect to the internet. I've run the diagnostic on the adapter and the ethernet cable. Sometimes it says 'default gateway is unavailable', if I make a static IP address, it says 'DHCP is not enabled'. Sometimes it even says both of the warnings, and sometimes it says the error is unknown. I've tried to restart the computer, extender, router, and all of them at the same time! But the internet is being as stubborn to me as it has been for the last couple of days.
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!!
If anyone can help, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Internet Connection Problems (WHY!!)
Does anything else on the network work? Try connecting to your router (type the default gateway that ipconfig gives you into the address bar of any browser) and making sure DHCP is enabled. If it asks for a username and password, and you don't know it, google it to find the default username/password
