Connect PS3 to Internet With USB Modem

Post by Wonderboy »

Yes, the first thing you will link me to is lmgtfy.com. I have done that, but most are for XP and have completely different instructions than Windows 7. Also, my IT teacher said that I needed a NIC, but I am not sure if I have one, because we special ordered our PC to include a dial-up modem. Ok, I get internet through a USB Connect Card from Alltel. I go to Network and Internet> Network and Sharing Center. All I can do as to setup a network is use a wireless router or access point. Do I need a router? Preferably I would like to use a ethernet cable, but I will do what I have to do.
EDIT: Wow, I'm an idiot. I didn't check device manager, but I do have a NIC. Its a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. (Yay PCI Express)
