Games running on 800 x 600 sreen out of place!

Hey guys,

When I play a game on my computer on 1024 x 1000 the game is just normal but with lag. When I change the resolution to 800 x 600 the screen becomes out of place and there is a black line at the bottom, the top left hand corner can not be viewed. I've been trying to fix this problem for ages, I hope you guys know.

I tryed taking a screenshot with fraps but fraps took the screenshot as if there was no place error.

I have Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT.

Games with problem [all of them]:
Stalker: Call of pripyat
CoD WaW
Crysis warhead
Farcry 2
Area 51
Battlefield 2

And for some reason counter strike source on steam works fine on 800 x 600.

The moniter is built for 1024x1000. Thats why 800x600 is mis placed. There is no way to fix it in 800x600 resolution.

if the resolutionchange doesnt work properly in games, you could change it in the windows screensetting, it would apply on everything then though

If you have a ATI graphics card, in the CatalystControlCenter there are some Image scaling options in the Digital Panel Attributes.(CCC Advanced mode) You could play with em a bit.

ANDEWEGET has the right idea though, NVIDIA should have a similar control panel if you right click on your desktop.

Even running the normal screen size on the monitor as 800 x 600 it still is out of place even when not playing a game. I tryed everything : (
