DVD Question
When I play a DVD on my computer it runs fine and all but when i turn on my computer the next day the screens pitch black at the login screen. So i have to system restore it to the previous day to get my screen back to normal. Now this did not happen untill i installed my Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 PCI. Anyone now why this happens and how to stop it/fix it? Thanks!!!
RE: DVD Question
nvidia are Diet Dr. Pepper when it comes to drivers etc... make sure you have the latest v 81.95 i think, it may help. good luck, trst me it doesn't get much better even if you had a 6800. definately back to ATI for me next time!
RE: DVD Question
NVidia pwns you! They are always leeding in technology! ATI are just following them. On the other hand, i could agree with gou a little bit about the drivers, but the latest driver fixes most of the problems (don't know what number it is, check http://www.nvidia.com for the latest drivers)

I have the same problem, but it was when I installed an extra gig RAM... although TBH the system didn't seem to bugger up until I installed battlefront 2... seems a bit coincedental.Moving_Target wrote:When I play a DVD on my computer it runs fine and all but when i turn on my computer the next day the screens pitch black at the login screen. well well...it seems as though the DVD isn't as good as ppl say. Maybe the good ol' trustworthy CD-ROM is better...
