Uploading screenshots difficulty
Well here's the deal when I try to upload a screen-shot I can't because I get this error:
The extension bmp is not allowed.
I don't know why and I don't know how to convert it to a JPEG any help?

Re: Uploading screenshots difficulty
Ya, JPEG is lower-quality but it makes any picture much smaller in size. Very handy for picture uploads.delta578 wrote:Okay I didn't think of that I will try it.

Still won't work I am now getting this error.
Image file type mismatch: expected extension bmp but extension jpeg given.
The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 256 KiB.

Re: Uploading screenshots difficulty
Oh, so your uploading it to GameToast? I usually use another site like PhotoBucket or ImageShack and they don't usually have any restrictions on images.

Re: Uploading screenshots difficulty
You're likely not saving it as a jpg, just renaming it. When you save the file in paint be sure to click the dropdown below the file name to change the type to jpgdelta578 wrote:Still won't work I am now getting this error.

Re: Uploading screenshots difficulty
Open the .bmp in Paint, go to File > Save As
Then under "Save as Type" Change it from 24-bit Bitmap to PNG.
