Start bar is messed up!

So I've been on my computer for a little while now, and so all of the sudden, the start bar (or whatever the bar on the bottom of the screen is called)turns white and becomes unusable, as well as whenever I scroll down a page, white stripes start appearing. It also lags A LOT when I type, so I'm really annoyed.

Sounds like you're processor is maxed out. Take a look by hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL then clicking on the Perfromance tab. See what the percentage for the CPU is. If it's maxed out and it's normally not you probably have a trojan/virus built to max out your system resources.
