Broken XFire ingame

Okay, so I'm trying to play battlefront while I use XFire ingame. Every time I use my key binding for it (page up+page down) A little black box with a gray mark appears on my screen, and my mouse can't move until I a:minimize the game, or b: press my key-binding again. What's wrong here?

Try out a different key binding. I use Alt+x to bring up the friends menu, Alt+s for a screenie, and Alt+t for voice. I haven't had any trouble with them.
