I have an ATI Radeon 9250 PCI graphics card. I was wondering if there were any downloads such as a driver to better enhance the performance of the card. I have checked ATI's website and there are downloads but I'm not sure if they are really all that neccessary.
Thanks sawyerdk9

RE: ATI Radeon 9250
As you may have guessed while consulting a few web-sites mentioning this ATI® Graphics Card, attempting to exploit even more its Available Resources cannot be that easily achieved, and that's why you will have to download and install a Specialized Utility allowing you to manually modify the Functioning Frequencies of most of the Components embedded onto it in order to see Visible Revampings, such as those respectively labelled "ATI® Tool" and "ATI® Tray Tools", amongst other samples...
RE: ATI Radeon 9250
Thanks for the help Levithan. Do you know any of the functions of this "ATI Tool" or "ATI Tray Tools?"
RE: ATI Radeon 9250
It's a fairly old card, isn't it? The best thing to do might just be to upgrade.
RE: ATI Radeon 9250
I just tried updating my graphic card setup (two ATI x600 pro's SLI linked) and I noticed almost no difference whatsoever except on some select games and in those cases the preformance was worse.
Say for Oblivion, I used to be able to run on all high specs (no FSAA) and get no slow downs even in the wilderness. But now ive lost about 4-5 fps when I walk out into the wilderness. The only thing that changed between those two was me updating my drivers.
and ive tried rolling back but no matter what I do I cant find the button where it noramlly should be. My advice, unless your games are running slow, dont update.
Edit: O yea and if you dont have Net 2.0 or higher you're hosed if you want to use the tray tools.

Yeah I downloaded Net 2.0. I guess I won't do anything becuase Battlefront runs good. Tao, yeah it is an older card I think. I got it about 3 months ago and then it was probably old but it was a MAJOR improvement from the Graphics that came with my computer.

yoyam, have you tried the omega drivers for ati cards? usually they work well. I use stock drivers myself, but I've heard great things about it.

RE: ATI Radeon 9250
Off-topic : I have equally learnt many things regarding Omega Drivers©, and the least I can say about them is that attempting to install such Software Components on a Personal Computer owning a Graphics Card similar to the one we have discussed of so far isn't that recommended, since they have not been built in order to make such Devices to work way more efficiently and satisfyingly than the latest Products engineered by ATI®, which basically implies that replacing it by another one could be indeed the most valuable Way to follow right now...
