I had originally planned SWBF3.5 to be an elaborate modification of the game Star Wars Battlefront II set in the era between Star Wars Episodes 3 and 4 (thus the name 3.5). However as many modders know, first expectations rarely match the final product, and this mod was no exception. I never got ZeroEditor to work, and so I could never make maps. I also failed in getting the XSI 4.2 exporter to work and so my plans for making custom player models also failed. However I'm no quitter and decided to push on and just finish what I had started. What I'm releasing now is basically just a modest sides mod. There are a few features included that set it apart from other mods. Anyways I started work on my first SWBF2 Mod during late 2010, and it slowly evolved into this mod. If anyone would give it a download (90mb) and have fun with it that'd mean alot to me.
FEATURES:
-Complete Sides mod with 8 original sides on 128 additional levels.
-It's small. At only 90MB it's a quick download and adds some fun replay value to the game.
-Map specific effects. Shoot the walls in the Death star and see sparks and smoke fly. Throw a grenade on hoth and see a massive snow explosion. ETC...
-Cool new game modes. Conquer, Wave, Survive, Revamped Campaign Maps, 3-Team CTF, and more!
-Use the fake console to choose your Game mode! To save the amount of levels the mod would take up, when you load a map and play it, open the Fake console and choose your game mode. The game starts and the fun begins!
-Camera postions moved. To the right and closer in.
-Modified Animations. A couple new animations, plus changing how stock ones are used gives some of the units a fresh look.
-Three eras. "Episodes 2-3" (Clone Wars), "Episode 3.5"(My Favorite), and "Episodes 4-6(Galactic Civil War).
-Play as or against 8 different sides! Death Watch, Phase I clones, Phase II clones, Imperial Clones, Empire, Rancor Squad, CIS, and Rebellion.
-Creative weapons including" 'force choke gun', 'first aid kit', 'deployable shield generator' and many others!
-The 'Rally' buff actually rallys your men. Fire the rally buff and your whole team teleports to you.
-Custom menu background pictures. I figured out how to do this one all on my own, then when I went to tell everyone on gametoast I learned that everybody else already knew how to do it.
-Support for two non-stock maps. Play the SWBF3.5 mod on both of Marvel4's Bespin maps (if you have them).
-Random sides in single player. Only the first team is random the second team is fixed. This way it's a 50/50 chance you get to fight the side you were hoping to fight. If not then just restart the level.
-Full multiplayer support. Seriously SP gets boring, play with friends online!
-Unique and fun Gameplay. It takes some getting used to at first but I now prefer it to the stock gameplay.

Just as a disclaimer, when I started out I was very, very organized about using other people's assets, I always logged what was made by others... Anyways that all stopped when I started really making progress on the mod. I got excited, started downloading assets like crazy, used some, deleted others, and basically made a huge mess. I hope I included everyone, if you see someone who didn't get credit, or shouldn't have gotten credit, let me know and I'll put them in. I'm not trying to steal anything, don't get me wrong. But it can be hard to keep track of what's what and who's who.

And me, CavalryCaptainMike. For mod creation and organization, scripting, textures, various meshes, and other stuff.
Also some more thanks to:
AQT for giving me his Death Watch Bunker assets and letting me play with them.
[RDH]Zerted for showing me how to make my own fake console commands, and help with some other scripting stuff.
Gametoast, basically the only help I got was from the people on this one forum.
All the others on gametoast who figured out how to do things or built programs that do things and then shared it with everyone else.
And of course, Pandemic, who probably did 99% of the work on the modded game you're about to play anyways.
Installation instructions are in the readme.txt file. The gameplay is a bit different, your rifle and pistol are your best friends, not your grenades and mines like the regular game. It takes a bit of getting used to the first two or three rounds, where you'll probably die ALOT, but after that it gets really fun and you'll be back to a 10:1 KD ratio . Feedback is greatly appreciated, but don't bother with constructive criticism. I'm done with SWBF2 modding after this. I know this mod isn't perfect, and it pales in comparison to some of the stuff that you guys have released recently, but I'm done. There will be no 1.1 or 2.0 of this mod. However, if there are any major issues (Crashing, freezing, game not working, etc) tell me, and I'll make a patch. Thanks!

Just downloaded it! One of the best mods I have ever played! But I don't know if anyone else I having this problem where the units reload their guns very slowly. Also when you zoom in to aim better, you can see through the unit.

@SWBF2
I'm really glad you liked it! The long reload time was to make the pistol more useful (in a big melee, you have to switch to your pistol when your rifle is empty) and the see through unit when aiming is also intentional (it's supposed to look like you're aiming down the sights of the gun)
@Kinetosimpetus
The stuff you made is awesome! Thanks for sharing it!

My two favorite maps are the Naboo bonus gamemode (gungans vs rebels) and the felucia bonus gamemode (a modified version of the campaign level). I like playing as the lady on naboo, and the Rancor assassin on felucia. (I usually just use the fake console to remove point limits so I can play the Rancor assassin right away )
Thanks for your comments guys!

How interesting, you say this has been in development for 3 years now? All that time and effort, I need to download this.

Whenever you use the Death Watches heros (the one with the darksaber) flamethrower ability, the game crashes. Anyone else having this problem. Other then that small problem, this is one of the best mods.

I hope i'm not bumping this thread now, i have made a post earlier about how my "time and date"-stamps doesnt work...
Anyways, is the mod supposed to be multiplayer only? AI doesnt seem to work for me. They refuse to spawn, i guess.

I don't know what you mean by "time and date" stamps, but for the AI to spawn you have to open the fake console and choose a game mode. If you need more specific instructions or that doesn't fix it just PM me.

I tried that mod months ago, played it for about a week and, then deleted it. My computer has had no problems in that time and hasn't had any since! So I highly doubt this mod has any sort of virus attached to it.
