Hello Gametoast!

You remember me?
I'm posting this for three reasons:

1.: I have noticed that only my Geonosis map was still on Gamefront, the former Filesfront.
2.: I saw that some people have searched for my old maps in the forum and couldn't find all of them.
3. There's some new stuff that you don't know yet!

New stuff?
Well, to be honest it's not completely new. 1-2 years ago I worked on improving my Coruscant and my Tantive IV maps, mostly regarding the sides' weapons. But there's also a new trooper in Coruscant, etc. ...
BUT I also have to tell you that the Coruscant-changes have not reached a "final level". Some objects should've been reskinned, some new vehicle weapons should've been named properly... You'll find more little non-perfect spots. I tried to fix them but after a longer BF2 absence and the purchase of a new PC with Windows 8 system I couldn't work on those issues any longer without going crazy (Windows 8 always tries to kill you with a heart attack when you expect it the least...)

So I decided to release the latest (and I guess the last) versions of those two maps as "Special Editions". Cause I thought you'd really like them and for I'm a big old-school metal and hard rock fan I know what to do with unreleased material and approved old stuff: Release it as a special edition when the time is right!

And is the time actually right? I hope so. Modding and especially mapping was very importent for me in my later teenage years (I'm getting old! :vader: ) and I learned a lot from it. Not only about codes and different kinds of files, image editing and stuff - but also about planning and design.

Maybe you want to know why I don't have time for working hard on my maps anymore. It's because I started studying what's called "Environment Planning and Architecture" in Germany at university. So I'm kind of working on "real life maps" now.

I hope that Gametoast and SWBF2 will live on (well, there won't be BF3 so people hopefully won't forget the most important version of that game! :chew: )!

Bantha55, why did you put these BACK on filefront if they were removed before due to lack of downloads? Why not another site that's a bit more reliable and does not tend to remove files?

I agree Glitch. Perhaps I could upload all these to my personal Dropbox account for everyone (if I stop being lazy)? With Bantha's okay, obviously. They're small enough that they should be able to go on Dropbox.

Will download these as soon as I get my new computer.

Offtopic: What's Environment Planning and Architecture translated into german? It sounds interesting.
