Ultimate Battlefront: The Clone Wars
A Star Wars Battlefront II modification created by Xavious
Site: http://xaviousmods.freeforums.org
Overview
Ultimate Battlefront: The Clone Wars is a large mod which adds a custom era (UB:TCW) to most shipped maps as well as to five included custom maps. The mod's biggest feature is the random units; each time upon starting a match, clone legions, heroes, and other units are selected by random. This essentially makes no two games the same, and forces the player to adapt based on the units available. The random feature is sadly single player only, however. The mod can still be played in multiplayer, but the units are preset.
Contents
-UB:TCW era added to most shipped maps (excluding Hoth and Endor)
-5 new custom maps: Abregado-Rae, Dantooine, Geonosis, Geonosis: Arena, and Jaal-Kan.
-Loads of new characters including some from the new Clone Wars TV series
-Random units, legions, and heroes
This mod installs exactly like any addon map. Simply unzip the "UCW" folder to your addon folder and play. If you wish to uninstall this mod, simply remove the "UCW" folder from your game's addon folder.

You too, huh? I had a hard time trying to download this one, and when I got it, some files where corrupted and I couldn't extract the folder... <sigh> downloading again.
Xavious, would you mind adding a Moddb download mirror? Sometimes it's easier to download a file from there.
Now I played the mod many times, I like the system of random legions everytime you start a map, BUT: an advice from me: work on the new maps. I liked your 607th maps very much but those are - they are made without many details. But thats what makes a map good.
Example: Jalkaan - You made the map taking place at midnight. Everything is dark but grass is green like when the sun shines. The Geomaps have such a dark ground, but over the whole battlefield there are stones that are much lighter and white fog.
But the sides are very nice, think you spent the most tim on them, very good
Xav', since I'm a jedi-loving freak I've only tested Hero assault so far
But i've got to say I love those force powers, especially how in the stock game, if you push someone, and they block then you'll see a spark on their sabre, but nothing else, but with this, if you do a charged attack on a blocking opponent then it reflects damage back on you and you suffer a knock down, awesome

Oh, that. I totally forgot to mention it in my review, but:
That was irritating. I think I know why you used fatrays for your force wave, but the negative side effect is that they can be reflected - and aside from being very weird considering it's a force power you're reflecting, it's a real nuisance in hero assault (especially on tighter maps) since the AI reflect about half the time.
Oh, heheh... It's out. I take it this isn't a final? Cuz dangit, I really need to get Kit Fisto's tentacles tentacle-ized, lol. Looks great, though. I'll have to give it a try soon.
