IRIDONIA: DOCKING STATION
by Jedimoose32
-------------------------
INTRODUCTION
In the midst of the Yuuzhan Vong war, Shedao Shai sent out a company of his finest warriors
to the planet Iridonia in order to determine whether it would make a good terraform world. The
warriors found the system to be heavily guarded by a fleet of New Republic capital ships. In the
ensuing space battle, most of the Vong were killed, and the only warriors that reached the planet
either stowed aboard in the ammo containers of 3 K-Wing gunships or managed to fake capture on a
small New Republic prisoner vessel. The crew of the prison ship was soon killed, but crashed in
a scrapyard conjoined to an Iridonian spaceport, leaving only about 250 survivors of the original
400 that boarded the ship. A single Mon Calamari capital ship pursued the prison ship and docked
in the nearest terminal. By chance, the K-Wing escort assigned to the capital ship was none other
than the 3 unsuspecting carriers of nearly 50 Vong warriors, who discreetly disembarked as each
K-Wing landed, refueled, and left. Meanwhile, the New Republic had the Iridonian Security Guards
evacuate the spaceport of all civilians and non-combat personnel, and then take up strategic
positions all around the docking station. They had no idea what they were to be dealing with...
After nearly a whole year, Iridonia: Docking Station has been updated. Although I had originally
planned to only make a small update to Version 1.1, the list of necessary alterations has grown
to the point where I have to call it an overhaul. This is Iridonia: Docking Station, Version 2.0!
Since April 2008, data has been collected, knowledge has been gained, software has been purchased,
and opinions have been analyzed. Finally, this March 25th, I began the process of compiling all
that I had gathered into my map. I hope everyone who plays Version 2.0 enjoys it 2.0 times as
much as they liked 1.0!
CHANGES
-added local Security Guard team
-remodeled Vong amphistaff
-created couffee knife model
-tweaked Vong and Jedi properties
-removed awful K-Wing Hovercrafts
-authenticated ShaperTools model
-enclosed some areas of the map
-added more props for beauty and strategic importance
-replaced barriers to achieve better AI navigation (this was painful, replaced approx. 130 barriers
and added approx. 110 new ones)
-placed dozens more hint nodes, putting the "I" into AI
-Photoshopped the sky (changed to higher resolution, balanced colors, brightened, sharpened, etc.)
-added Health and Ammo droids to all CP's
-fixed spawn paths

Everyone else at Gametoast: Although names might escape me, I want to recognize everyone who posted
on the original release topic for Iridonia: Docking Station. It was on those comments that the idea
for this update was based.
Softimage - Thanks for making a great modelling tool. Worth the money!!
Pandemic - A lot of games you make are just mediocre, and so was SWBF2, but thanks for the exceptional
modtool kit.
