Personally I hate the ultra realistic get shot twice drop dead stuff but I'll admit they were impressively put together and very well polished (any chance you might share the placement code for your nade HUD icons, I've been trying for ages to get EMP nade icon in right spot).
I made the HUDs.
Here´s the code for the Haywiredetonator:

Code: Select all

            MeshInfo("weap_inf_ECdetonator")
                {
                    Position(-0.274201, 0.284023, 15.000000, "Viewport")

                    Scale(1.750000, 1.750000, 1.750000)
                }

Some things I like about the map:

-Nice factory
-Anti-air turrets = creative
-The map actually feels like you're really on the battlefield. It gives that "advance on the enemy" feeling.

What I didn't like:

-Three- or four-shot kills. Realistic, but annoying.
-Storyline: It's your story, FOOLIS, so you can do whatever you want, but the idea of Anakin dying kind of contradicts the chosen one prophecy (probably should've said that for Ryloth. :P )

If you stop to think about it, the prophecy could mean (in this alternate reality Foolis created) that Anakin was meant to weaken Revan and reduce the power of his cultists, making Palpatine reveal himself as the Sith Lord and ally with the dark spectre.
So when they fled to Kril´dor to re-create their army, they were an easy target for a massive Republic strike, a strike the Sith Lords would not survive.

Anakin indirectly ended the legacy of the Sith and banished the darkness in the galaxy even before the rise of the empire.

yes very fun i played this with foolis and i have to admit very fun and very intense i only have 1 problem its a shame to see this story come to an end. but very well structured and very nice skins and a nice change of the drodika being replaced with something else. also i would of liked to see the arc trooper returne for the last map :P but no problem i love the whole series.

@above posts:
That's actually a ridiculous line of logic, if you move further and further away from direct contribution you could start attributing that "prophecy" to any number of people - see how ridiculous it sounds (in the context of the real movie):

"Obi-Wan weakened Darth Vader, forcing the Emperor into a position where he needed to seek out a new apprentice, eventually causing Darth Vader to have to choose between Luke and the Emperor, finally forcing his hand. Ergo Obi-Wan was the Chosen One."

"Count Dooku ordered the creation of the clone army and acted as its figurehead, giving Palpatine/Sidious the necessary catalyst for the change of the Republic to his Empire, which would eventually lead to a situation where he could be overconfident enough to be killed. Ergo, Count Dooku was the Chosen One."

"Mon Mothma decided that the 'Empire had made a critical error and the time for their [Rebels] attack had come.' This set up the situation where there could be an eventual confrontation between Darth Vader and the Emperor. Ergo, Mon Mothma was the Chosen One."

It's best to just accept this whole story for a silly bit of fanfiction and not pay much attention to how it could ever possibly tie into anything in the "real" Star Wars (because it doesn't make a whole lot of logical sense in the first place anyway).

Okay, I don't really know if this goes along with what Mav said or what everyone else said, but I think it goes along beter with Mav.

Meaning that you didn't have to go and think of all of that stuff where he did it indirectly, you could just say that the Prophecy WAS misread.

The prophecy is (always was) pretty much nonsense.
I dislike the whole "chosen one" thing, it's awful as a plot device.

i don't think it really matters to be honest. the more you think about it the more confusing it gets :D in the movies, anakin was the "misread?" chosen one, and this trilogy just alters the story in it's own way, and the maps are still great, whatever the story is!

I've played each of these three maps over and over and I realized that each map was better then the last. Kril' dor is hands down the greatest of the trilogy. Like above posts have stated, the map wasn't perfect, but it was very unique and has a lot of replay value. The fact that this map is similar to Bespin: Platforms (IMO the best BF1 map) is a good thing.
This map takes the concept of the Bespin map and expands it, making it even better then the original. The sides are ok, but the best part of this is the awesome greenish-orange Bespinlike environment of the map. The sides I'd give a 7/10 the map gets a 10/10
Overall, an excellent map. :thumbs:
