I swear I thought I was the only one who noticed it, maybe that is where Kingpin got the idea for most of these Jedi looking units.CdtFox wrote:This guy remind me of the poor little jedi killed by Jango Fett in Star wars II...;

Also, I'm looking for some species for my second Sith team. I'm trying to swap out my older models with newer and nicer looking ones. Any ideas?

Re: The Sith Wars II (UPDATE 5/6)
Gungans! Definitely Gungans. Or jawas? What were about Wampas? Or..to be serious: Kaminoans are not very nice people in Star Wars. Maybe they might fit well. But some of you may admit that a Darth Jar Jar would be last expected to be a Sith Lord, isn't it?

And why? Aren't they good enough to control force powers?Anakin wrote:Kaminoans would NEVER(!!) be a sith or jedi

I don't think that Kaminoans would ever leaf their planet. In my eyes they are a proud species that like to avoid contact with others then them self.

But yeah you're right about this.

Re: The Sith Wars II (UPDATE 5/6)
It would be interesting to see a Kaminoan Jedi unit for once, not sure if anyone ever experimented with this before in the early years of modding. I do have two suggestions but they may make no sense. My first is a force sensitive Geonosian Jedi/Sith unit, never seen one before so I thought it would be a nice addition. My other idea was a Bith Jedi/Sith unit since these species never get too much attention in the Star Wars Battlefront Modding Universe and let us face it, that would be an interesting concept, weird, but interesting to see how it would turn out.

Re: The Sith Wars II (UPDATE 5/6)
All really good ideas! I think I will shy away from the Kaminoans for now, mainly because I feel like they would work for the Jedi, and I'm really looking for a Sith. I am thinking about the Muuns and the Weequays. I feel like a Muun may be too similar to Plageuis.... What about this?

Re: The Sith Wars II (UPDATE 5/6)
Defenetely Weequays!
One jedi was a weequay: Sora Bulq. (I know you are searching for a sith...
)
But he turned to the dark Side and he bacame the apprentice of Dooku! You should check Sora Bulq 's story it's can help.
He killed Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis.

Re: The Sith Wars II (UPDATE 5/23)
Hey everyone, it's been awhile!
I've been working hard on this mod and have made some progress that I would like to share. First off, the second Sith side has been nearly finished, featuring 7 new badass units. Without further adieu, I'd happily like to introduce The Brotherhood of the Sith!

While the Sith Empire has moved away from the origins of the Sith to become a large power, the Brotherhood of the Sith seeks to maintain the traditions of the many Sith before them. Primarily based in saber and force combat, the Brotherhood proves to be a key player in the wars to come. Here is the lineup!
Notes on balancing: 3 of the 4 base units are equipped only with a lightsaber: after much tweaking, I decided this would be good to have them without force powers. However, I did want at least one of the base units to have force abilities. So, the Sorcerer has force powers, but his lightsaber combo is reduced to only one swing, as well as a lack of block and sprint.
But wait! In addition to revealing a team, I would like to show some work on the second map of the Sith Wars II. That's right, you guessed it, the new planet is Sullust: Outpost. The map is set on EAfront's new planet, and will feature nearly all handmade models, as well as new custom environmental effects. Take a look!
Please note that the map is in early W.I.P., and many of the textures and models in the images are outdated.
Any comments or concerns on the most recent update? Let me know in the comments!

Wow
This Sullust map's first look looks impressive. You really hit the right colors so far (gray, red and blue).

Re: The Sith Wars II (UPDATE 5/23)
Now I am super hyped to try this out when it releases, Sullust is an interesting planet which was not really done as a mod map for Battlefront 2 up until now. I think there were only three other mod maps ever made about this map and that is it. In the first picture of the Sullust map, is that red water or is supposed to be lava? I think it is red water but I am curious. Really great progress made so far with this KingPin, hope you have another mod idea after this one that you will utilize and make for this game!

Re: The Sith Wars II (UPDATE 6/6)
Hey everyone!
Recently, I've been focusing on getting my major model for Sullust: Outpost ready. Please note that this is just a section of the map, and the terrain, lava, and props are far from completion. The outpost itself is almost done, as I just need to fix some texture issues in a few places. Take a look!
Also, I have been getting ready for The Sith Wars II's First Alpha! It is going to include the two Sith factions facing off on Courscant. It will be a very early alpha, and will not feature any localisation (names) for any of the units or weapons, and only has 1 hero per faction. The main reason for this alpha is to get an idea on balancing and bugs, as well as anything you notice. The alpha will be closed, and I would ask that you please PM me if you would like to participate. Cheers!

Thanks! I am only planning on adding support for the Sith Wars era. I may release it later as a standalone map, in which I would consider adding other eras.Anakin wrote:wow that looks so great. do you plan to add era support?? (DT, BFX, RC, beach trooper would look funny, too)
I agree, I am still working on it.Anakin wrote:The lava maybe just needs a little higher contrast
