Hex editing when makin a skin

Post by jkempster »

i dont kno who wmany people know this but when i had problems with creatign a new side i was told i needed to hex edit the .msh file and tell it to read whatever i renamed the tga to. for anyone who is interested instead of going to the trouble just add this line to your new characters odf:-

OverrideTexture = "name of tga"

this will tell the it to override the default texture with that one. sorry if this is obvious lol i dont know how many poeple know

PAN-Ford stated in his side help thread that that doesn't always work. The original mesh has to be setup right. But if you got it working great! :)

That doesn't always work, only if the txture is laid out the exact same. Otherwise the texture mapping won't be compatible and it could end up with a butt for a face or something.
