Names of new units and characters not showing up

When i load mod maps, the actual map works fine, but the new units' name don't show up. What is happening

Are you using UK English? That's probably why. The mod tools were only set up to localize in US English. All the other languages must be done by hand.

I dont think its something wrong with the localization tool its because he have 9 units and theres no room for the unit name.

You can have 10 units and the unit name will still show

Yeah it has nothing to do with the number of units.
Teancum, seeing as how this is my map, how exactly can I manually edit the locilization of UK english etc?
Do I use the localize tool and switch to UK english or what?

Well, one way to do it (for UK anyways) is browse to data_[mapname]/common/localize and open english.cfg. Select all, copy. Open UK_English.cfg. Select all, paste. Munge with localization. (note this is only a test, I don't have the UK version so I haven't tested it yet.)

I dont have UK either.

Sometimes opening large files in notepad can take a while. It would be much faster to just copy english.cfg and rename it to UK_English.cfg
