"my new sides trooper randomly has a jetpack"

Post by jkempster »

i have made a new side for a new clone unit im making, i am using the jet trooper.tga and all the others like tga.option ect are the ep3_troopers. there is also nothing in the odfs to tell it to wear a jetpack, i thought it was something attached to the tga so i changed it to the ep3_troopers skin then pasted ontop of that the jet troopers skinwith photosuite (the program i use for skinning) only to find he still had a jetpack for some reason- NOTE this jetpack does not work at all. its just something thats there. does anyone know how to fix this i have no clue why its doing this. thanks

The jetpack is part of the jettrooper model, if you want it gone you have to use the standard EP3trooper mesh.

all you have to do is open the ep3_trooper texture, and the ep3_jettrooper texture and move the jetrooper texture over ontop of the original and save...

ok to fix the munging problem i moved him to another map, and now hes just using the normal troopers skin not the one i made into the jet trooper. grrr i hate this, i have never succesfully made a new side and just when i think im getting close, something goes wrong as always. and i have done it step by step following the docs before this annoys me so much
