Umm....yeah..I need help...

I downloaded the SWBF2 mod tools and setup a level but for some reason when i open the zeroeditor half is blue and half is white (the toolbars are there) what do i do now??

After that i opend the level, I thought it would show the stupid flat arena that it starts off as but instead i get a little above view in the corner and the rest is blank

I highly recommend this tutorial. It's for BF1, but mapping is essentially the same in BF2.

Yeah i figured that out but now i cant even get the texture/color of the ground to change :lol: , man, this is going to take a long time to figure out

get a grip of yourself!

go through that tutorial Teancum gave you a link to.

you will learn if you go through it.

Select Object Edit Mode in Zeroedit, click the Browse button and navigate up to the ODF folder. Choose the tat_prop_tuskencampfire.odf, click the place button and place the campfire prop in the volcano crater. When you are happy with the position of the fire, save the world and exit Zeroedit
read and stop posting again and again - it's getting a little annoing.. :roll:

it might be hard but look in the documentation, here's a start press tab and then f and see what happens

Forget all the things from before i theyre ok now... Ive made a bit of progress on a map so I re-visualmunged it to update it and went to play and the game crashed. So far I havn't changed any thing on the map except the height and i placed some objects. So, does anyone know what happened?

Run BF2_modtools.exe (visit the FAQ sticky on how to get it working) and then check the log (bfront.log) that it creates

I cant find it...and i still cant get objects in the game. What foleder should this log be in?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally figured it out. I was getting my odf and msh files from an external source (out of my _game folder). I had to restart every thing (again) but atleast it works now.
