i've noticed that some people have figured out how to get the jed_sith_01 unit to work. whenever i use it, the game crashes, but i still want to use it. Does anyone know how to get it to work

You can simply create a new odf, then make the sith's odf have a parent of a regular jedi. That's what I did.

Actually you just have to fix a few holes in the odf, and you'll get him working.

It's not really in the odf, but the SIDE folder is just missing a few files. First, go to the CIS sides folder, then odf, and copy cis_hero_darthmaul.COMBO into ur SIDE's odf folder. Then, go into munged (CIS) and copy maul.ZAABIN, maul.anims, and maul.zafbin. And paste them into ur SIDE's munged folder. After the munge, it should work.

Yeah, I know --- I used it in Yavin 4: Arena. That's all Lord Schizo is. He's just the Sith Unit with a modified odf so that he works.

Are you able to run BF2_modtools.exe? (requires CD version of game)

no when i try to open it a window pops up for a millisecond and then disappears. I do have the cd version with the cd in when i run it. i used to get a binkw32.dll error until i copied the one from my starwarsbattlefront2 folder in lucasarts

Hmm, that sucks -- you have BF2_modtools.exe in /Lucasarts/Star Wars Battlefront II/Gamedata and not in /Lucasarts/Star Wars Battlefront II/, right?

BF2_modtools.exe MUST be in Star Wars Battlefront II/Gamedata (the same directory as battlefrontII.exe) to work. Check the FAQ sticky for more info.

Because if you can run it then you can look at the log it produces (bfront.log) and find out what errors there are. Don't be scared by the amount of errors, just copy/paste the log here. Lots of the errors are due to the devs forgetting to fix stuff.
