Help with Flags over Objects

I need a little help with flag placement. If I place a flag over terrain it can be picked up and works great, but if I put a flag over an object, lets say a bridge or stairs, then it just bounces there and can not be picked up. It seems to want to fall to the terrain but can not becuase of the object.

Has anyone else had this problem? How do I fix it?

Thanks

I don't normally believe in bumping, but I really am stuck here.

Maybe Teancum has an idea, I know he got flag working in Yavin 4: Arena, and those flags are inside the temples.

Hmm... I'd rotate the flag a bit, and be sure that it's a bit above the bridge so that it's easy to be picked up.

Objects have a snap to object or snap to terrain. Make sure the flag is snapping to objects.

Actually, you don't want it to snap. I needs to float a bit above it.

still not working any thoughts?

I tired locking height. I do not see a way NOT to select either ground to object or ground to terain.

Click the 'grid' button so it's off and raise/lower.

We had this problem for a bunch of maps, but I'm not sure we found a solution. (^.^) I'll ask the people that were having the problem on Monday.

I don't know why it worked, but it I type in the height value it worked.
If I raised or lowered it with the mouse it failed.

Wierd...
