yeah just load up the dagobah fog file TGA as a texture and use spray to apply it. if you do this right (dont coat your map) leaving only low areas with ground fog next to land features, it should come off good.

wouldn't you need to modify your .FX file?
nevermind, I was thinking more of water rather than mist...got distracted for a moment.

Note to self: do not post on forums while at work!

Sorry don't know that much whether copying those files will be enough or whether you will need to edit your worlds fx file. Maybe both.

Like i said , dont over do the texture, use bLEND and SPRAY and re-use the texture /s you are spraying over , keep it light maybe reduce the texture pressure to 10 , (default is 20) keep looking over the map from inside the game to see if the fog is to your liking, change it accordingly.

You can always add the dag fog FX file , not sure if it's doing anything , but just to be safe.

Also the fog works best by using color function and coloring the fog the way it looks best against your map. My world is green, so green fog

How would I add/edit the .fx file?

take the file from dagobah, copy it, then paste it in the same place in your own world file, have no idea if it is doing anything, but it's not causing errors- so im leaving it there.

it should. But isn't adding mist just like adding snow or rain?
If it is (which i don't really know) u just need to take the dagobah .fx file and put it into ur map world folder and rename it modid.fx
Though the .fx files have other stuff in there too so just delete everything except for the mist part (unless u don't want to)

if u don't have to add textures that wiil do it.

its not the mist then. good luck in figuring out what it is. i got a feeling its a script error. one error in the scripts can easily cause a map to crash.

the map worked fine, then I edited some stuff in the map and copyed some files.
I didn't touch the script.
