problem with high terrain

ok, so im currently working on a speeder race map (yes i know this was done already for bf1) and it is a tatooine canyons kind of map ( still not trying to copy the other guys map, but that map hasnt been released for bf2 anyway). so my problem is when ever i hit the canyon walls while in my speeder, i just go through the walls and then fall through my map. however, when im on foot as a soldier i have to push against the wall for a few seconds to go through it. could someone help me with this?

Your terrain is to steep. When it's steep (as in near vertical) it will cause the problem that you're talking about. The only way around it is to make your terrain not as steep.

would a physical barrier work, because most canyons have fairly steep walls, and i dont think my canyon would look very good if it was any shallower. but if nothing else i guess ill try that.
