Cockpits are back

I've noticed that the mod tools contain the cockpit .tga's.
Anyone started re-inserting those yet?

yep, i got cockpits for my space vehicles in my geonosis map that has capital ships and all that

Rends is making a Cockpit Mod (at least were last time I asked about it)
so the 'news' that
cockpits are back aren't really news
well, congratz that you've found them, but if you don't know how to get them in-game, you might consider ask this in your next post: "I've found the cockpits, but can anyone tell me how to add them into my map(s)?"

all they did was silence out the line that calls them in the odf with //
erase those and they work and also toss 1st person mesh in your folder just in case.

What logo said. Readding them is really easy, I just cn't imagine why they were removed to begin with.

Thnaks, but I figured out how a while ago. Just wanted to know if they were becoming "standard". Havent seen them used yet.

Maybe viewing from inside the cockpits in space battles at high speeds could make the player feel sick, thats happened on a few games before.

Actually psych0fred said they pulled the cockpits due to memory issues. In other words, we could put them back in, but the low-end PCs would suffer for it.
But then again, low-end PC users aren't forced to download it either.

Well, Rends - I haven't seen any cockpits in that map...
and you should slow down the speed of the flyers?
Do they have all the cockpits for all the vehicles ready?

Did that, and nothing happened. The files are in my world's SIDE folder and it never works. Is there ANYTHING else I need to do?

Qdin, i simple disabled the gunship cockpit in the Coruscant city map, muhaha.
Ya i´m bad like the devs lol.
Oh and Stager, having the textures doesn´t mean having cockpits because you might not have the models for it.
