Skinning Problem

Post by Dragon93 »

I have been to Gametoast a lot but i have only just registered and am new to modding SWBII.
I need some help,
I am trying to add in the 3 legends i downloaded, but it is not working, nothing appears in the addme.script and nothing appears in the CSM folder, this is what i did:

1*I made a map and gave it the name Coruscant Skin Mod Map, CSM.

2*I copied the effects, ODF, MSH, and world1 folders from assets\worlds\COR.
I pasted them in to data_CSM/CSM/worlds, replacing worlds1 that was there.

3*From assets\sides i copied common and rep, and pasted them to date_CSM/CSM/sides/.
I also pasted the 2 bat files from data_CSM/_build/sides to here.

4*I added dc: on to the front of SIDE\\rep.lvl in data_CSM/common/script/CSM/CSMc_con.lua.

5* Then i copied the shocktrooper TGAs:

rep_inf_ep3armoredpilot
rep_inf_ep3heavytrooper
rep_inf_ep3heavytrooper_cape
rep_inf_ep3jettrooper
rep_inf_ep3jettrooperjetpack
rep_inf_ep3sniper
rep_inf_ep3sniper_cape
rep_inf_ep3trooper
.

Over to data_CSM/CSM/sides/rep/msh.
Replacing the old ones.

6*Last i opened up Modtools VisualMunge and checked the box saying common and in the drop down box selected rep.

I pressed munge and the box came up and said something about addme.script and something being wrong with it.(it doesn't always do this)
After it was done i looked t the box below and it said that it had copied over the core, mission and some other things.
when i looked in D:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon\CSM\_lvl_pc\*some other stuff, maybe CSM* nothing was in data and the addme.script was empty.

Also SWBII wouldn't start, it loaded then closed down, it worked when i quit.

Note:not all the directories are right, i can't remember them all and i deleted what i did.

Please help i would really like to use these skins.
Thanks. :D

jkempster: The zip looked like this:

Main Zip*3_Legion_skinpack = 3 zips in it.
Zip1*ShockTrooper = all the above TGAs.
Zip2*41st Elte Corps = all the above TGAs + an extra trooper replacement that looks like Commander Gree.
Zip3*212th Attack Battalion = all the above TGAs + an extra trooper replacement that looks like Commander Cody.
*Readme

These skins are made to replace the Republics troops.

I am trying to add the Shocktrooper skins to the Coruscant map, or maybe after making the rep.lvl file copying it over to the CORUSCANT: CITY
Version: 1 map.

-(DW)-Arc9[E]: I know.

Thanks for taking your time though, both of you.

P.S. Sorry i forgot to read over it, it should be easier to understand, and i didn't realise i said i put dc: at the end.
