please answer this because every time i post pnly like one person answers, why arent i being listened to. anyway im making new heroes at the moment by skinning on current models and swapping round the animations and weapons. no wi have made a new aalya which u may have seen and i am now trying to get the original aalya back onto the heroes side. so to start off i copied all of her original files into the rebels folder(all) and put the right files in the right folders and renamed them all_hero_aalya ect changing thre rep for all. i have changed the mission script so it reeads my all files and put all_hero_aalya on the heroes side but there is just no aalya on heroes. can anyone help me? please please ive tried everythingb i can think of.

You might need to change the actual files as well as changing their names.

what do u mean. in the ofd i changed most of the rep to all accept the sounds.

Did you make a new .req file and edit the all.req?

That is not the normal way to do it. You should create a new side. Load the side in the .lua file using the dc: command so it does not touch any of the stock files. You really should not be messing with the standard folders since they are not included in your distributed files, they are copies of what the game has as a standard. All custom work, sides, sounds, ets should be loaded with a dc: as. only files marked as loaded with dc are compiled into new .lvl files for your mod to access. The creating a jedi sample should have covered this.
This may be an oversimplification or you MAY succed using your method but in my opinion it is bad form to alter or add to the standard files.

i didnt alter the standard files i have all the sides copied into my ARN_data and tried putting her in the all. but thanks for the advice thats a very good idea i forgot about that. do i make the new folder then put all the folders like msh and odf etc in there and place the files there? im think thats what the documentation means am i right
