space ships on land maps

has anyone figured out how to get the vehicles in the space modes to work properly on land? and if so can you tell me what i need to edit? (i already have the vehicle spawn set up)

i meant like republic gunships and jedi star fighters. however i was thinking it would be cool to try to make a map where cruisers have entered a planets atmosphere and each side has to race to the surface and take the cps on ground or destroy the enemy cruiser. so it would basically be like combining a space map with a surface map, but ill try that later.

Hey, could someone tell if it's possible to use a Jedi starfighter just as a prop, unflyable, in a land map?

I tried to use some TIE fighters as props and my game crashed... That doesn't help you though does it? haha...

If I'm understanding your question correctly you would like to use the large ships on a land map as perhaps bases? If so I don't believe those large ships actually have interiors. I believe the interiors of the ships are actually separate models.

well fighters work for one

im no modder yet so but ive seen it

im not shur caps would work


try a frigate first and see if that works
then mabe a capital ship put in the frigate role like at corasant space in campain then work your way up

im sorry i kinda phrased it wrong i meant basically simple flying vehicles but i especial want to know how to get tansports like gunships to work on land maps.

for gunships, go into your LUA file and add this

SetMemoryPoolSize("CommandFlyer", X)

X = number of gunships



PS: i have a capital ship in my geonossis, map, but becouse AI don't land, place the CP on the ground below the ship, and place half the spawn paths in the ship and half on the ground

Is your geonosis map available for download? I'd like to check it out. I thought this would make a good CTF map as well with 2 large ships as opposing bases.

uhh, its only 94% done

Unknown, make sure to put the vehicale names in the LUA as well, or they won't spawn
