8 CPs...WTF?!?!

Right, so I of course have started to work on the first map for Rise of the Empire. Problem is, I placed 5 CPs on the map...but, in game, there are like 8 CPs. Why is this happening? My .wld file is perfect. My .lua files have been adjusted for the extra CP. I did happen to merge my two layers when I started creating the map, but that should not have changed anything.
Anyways...can anyone help? I really like to fix this.
Also, I wanted to know how to change the name of a map (not the three-letter code). It may be necessary in the future, and it was easily doable in SWBF. I also need to change the description of my map, LOL.
As for sides, to add multiple sides, is it done the same way? And the turret side, tur, is it necessary for all maps?
I hope you all can help me answer these questions, or else my map will never get done and the mod will never happen, which would suck, considering that I have TONS and TONS of skins for it. I also have skins for maps that are outside of the mod.
