Master Vandar- Feeble attempt

Here's my attempt at skinning Master Vandar from KOTOR. Im sure it sucks, but there's lots of room for improvement. Another problem is I didnt use reference. Im going to download alot of reference next time, or if someone wants to improve up on this one, or just make their own on their Yoda tga :/

Lol.m It's fine, but the robes are a little too bright IMO.

I don't think it's too bad. If you're using Photoshop, I'd recommend the following:

-Go ahead and apply that same color you added to the skin to his hair. It will look a bit strange on the texture, but not in-game
-Select By Color Range all of the blue, then bring the saturation down by about 1/2, and bring the lightness down a bit, too. It will give the robes a bit more of a dull, darker color that should fit Vandar quite well.

It's apparent that you know how to use whatever Photo tool you're using. Keep it up.

this skin could easily be made since the robes that yoda and vandar wear are identical except for the colors, the thing is, itd be so much easier to do in XSI to where you could quickly see every small edit instead of firing up the game every time you wanted to look at it.

Yeah put a bit more of the dark blue on the robes. I told you to remove to much saturation lol.

Ya, I turned down the saturation. Hmm, I did down 25% like ya said. Ill try some more til I get it all right. Lol

I cant map or mod, sorry bout that. If I learned how to map well, I'd make some sort of Dantooine plains map first, considering that's my favorite plannet. And if I learned how to mod, I'd reskin all the Rebels too look like...well...Republic Soldiers, or Telosian Security Forces.
