When you start of zeroeditor you get a grey screen, which means you don't have a map loaded. Now, to build a mod, you need to go to C:\BF2_Modtools\data\_BUILD. From there, click ModTools VisualMunge.exe, and fill in the basic info for your mod. Then head back out to C:\BF2_Modtools and find your folder. Go into that folder and in there you'll see zeroeditor. In zeroeditor, you need to load your mods .wld file before you can edit. The mods .wld file is found in
C:\BF2_ModTools\data_(modname)\Worlds\(modname)\world1. Thats basically what you need to know to get your mod started.
Sry if this is too basic, not sure if you are using the zeroeditor in the data folder and not the one in your mod folder.
