How do I put different side characters in 1 faction?

So, I want to make a mod(with hex-editing) with obi and luke together in 1 faction(rebels) how to do that? (please don´t post your mod here just tell me how)

thanks, but I need some help with the patch!, when I installed it all was OK, but then, I tryed to play and says that my CD isn´t the correct one. I´m sure my CD is original and my Launch BF and BattlefrontII are the original one too. NEED HELP!

Make sure you have the international patch.

Assasin', if you want to design such a SWBF II's mod, which is intended to be used in all game modes (And not only in the "Mos Eisley Assault" level), then you'll have to wait SWBF II Mod Tools release, since porting meshes from one LeVeL file to another one through hex-editing may not work at all, or corrupt the whole Side...
