Hex prop grass out of KAS2.lvl?

I'm hex editing the KAS2.lvl . I want to take away the prop grass so there is not as much lag on my computer. I found only one occurence of prop_grass. here is the read out
BODY. . . . . fF. .entc . . . BASE . . . . grasspatch . . TYPE . . . . kas_prop_grass_tall . PROP . . . . n . . . 1 . 1 . PROP . . . . . . . . 1 . 3 . PROP . . . . . m . ]1 . 0 . of course it keeps going, but somewhere shouldn't there be an end to the kas_prop_grass_tall ???

kas_prop_grass_tall renamed to zas_prop_grass_tall (just change first letter and it will be ignored at loadup).

What about looking at some older threads. I'm sure you would have found
that one.
Btw.: I use the one that is included in MS Visual C++ 6.

thanks guru, and yes I've looked in threads but it's alot easier to do this than looking through all the pages of crap

Do you know if the recent releases of
Microsoft Visual products contain an hexa-decimal editor,

Sry, don't know. In VC++ 6 you can just choose "Binary" in the open as field.

Does this mess with the file date/time/ etc. and prevent you from joining MP games like in BF1?

I tried it and it dosn't work. I tried spawning but the game crashed to desktop. So of now I don't think this method works.
